Trattoria “La Foglia” was a dream that was realized in 1983 by Nicoletta and her husband Beppe. Since then, by harvesting recipes from local traditions, vintage cookbooks and their own family memories, Nicoletta has been able to offer her guests dishes that genuinely belong to our age-old Sicilian and Mediterranean culture. The dishes are always prepared with specially chosen ingredients often gathered in the countryside by Nicoletta herself.

The restaurant is situated in a locale on one of the most beautiful streets of Ortygia. The aesthetic touch of Beppe, also a sculptor, and their daughter Luciana, whose choice of splendid antique table linens, elegant plates and glasses, all deliberately unmatched and bought in small local markets, have together created an atmosphere both charming and unique, making a visit to “La Foglia” an unforgettable experience.

Nicoletta, Beppe and Luciana are delighted to welcome to their restaurant (seating only 50 people) all those willing to take the time to slow down and give themselves over, through a multitude of small details, to the pleasures of the aromas and perfumes of our land.
